Set in the heart of the picturesque South Somerset countryside, Lindsay-Clark Partners, based at Downhead Manor Farm, is a family-run arable business committed to the principles of carbon sequestration and regenerative agriculture. With a distinct focus on integrating modern farming practices, our approach not only sustains our beautiful British wildlife but also actively contributes to the restoration and enhancement of our ecosystem.
Our exceptionally diverse range of flora and fauna, has been brought about by careful and sensitive attention to detail whilst applying the conventional practices that we believe best complement our natural environment. As a result, we are proud to have attained entry to the Higher Level Stewardship Scheme (HLS), acknowledging our management of the local wildlife, from our Greater Crested Newts, Field Mice, Voles, Hares and Badgers, to our Orchids, Listed Rare Wildflowers, endangered Butterflies and on to our Hobbies, striking Yellowhammers, singing Skylarks and majestic Barn Owls, to name but a few.
Our acceptance onto the HLS scheme acknowledges that with a little consideration and forethought, we can integrate sustainable conventional farming practices with exceptional wildlife conservation, to produce safe, healthy, nutritious food while ensuring a bountiful wildlife rich paradise, for future generations to enjoy.
