Birds

From the barn owl to the corn bunting and linnet to the skylark, we create and manage nature habitats to help struggling birds, butterflies and wildflowers.

Birds such as the cuckoo, lapwing and yellowhammer are part of the fabric of our rural heritage, but they’ve virtually disappeared from the countryside. We have planted hedgerows and manage them sensitively with coppicing and laying regimes. Our hedgerows are important ‘wildlife corridors’ for birds. We also plant seed-bearing crops to provide food for birds throughout the winter.
